Generic-Incidence Pairing No-Go and the Extraordinary Lower-Term Gate
Record
Date: 2026-08-15
Status: falsified, scoped to an incidence-only construction of a primitive generic pairing. No no-go is claimed for an independently constructed ideal-valued pre-quotient localization correspondence or extraordinary Cartier/Gysin trace.
This is the first exact coefficient test following entry 160's universal localization-triangle obstruction theorem. It shows that matching the visible source and target (+1) cellular incidences fixes an orientation shadow, not the required primitive generic boundary pairing.
Frozen source and target packets
On the source side retain the pre-quotient generic chain and its special lower term :
In the absolute source checker, the coefficient of the matched cell in is . This records the chosen cellular orientation; it does not scalarize the entire source differential.
On the target side, entry 143's fixed endpoint/ BM--Cech packet contains the generators with
The coefficient is legal only in the indicated target Cech summand. The occurrence parameter remains uninverted, and the target generators are not relabelled by the source occurrence ideal.
Generic-incidence pairing equation
Suppose an incidence-only degree-zero pairing were determined by
The chain-map equation on , with the declared tensor Koszul convention, is
The sign depends only on the simultaneous source/target orientation convention. It does not affect the divisibility result.
Scoped no-go theorem
Theorem. Over the legal unlocalized occurrence and target-Cech coefficient system, matching the (+1) coefficient of in the source and target does not define a primitive generic pairing . In particular, and are both impossible.
The smallest monomial solution, up to simultaneous orientation reversal, is
It is nonprimitive and restricts to zero on the conductor .
Proof
Reduce the chain equation modulo . It becomes
The fixed target radial coefficient is nonzero in its Cech summand. Hence a unit value cannot satisfy the equation. More generally, monomial exponent comparison forces . Taking the least possible occurrence factor gives , and substitution fixes . Reversing the common orientation reverses the correlated sign but cannot remove the factor . Therefore incidence matching fixes only the orientation shadow and not a primitive pairing.
The full-source lower-term gate
The same obstruction appears before truncating the source to . The full source contains the Morse top , and evaluating the chain equation on has the schematic primitive form
An incidence-only model that retains only the visible generic coefficient therefore fails by the same conductor specialization. Any viable primal correspondence must retain the full ideal-valued lower complex, both Tor grades, and the Cech lower terms on which the shifted Cartier boundary can act. These terms are structural, not corrections that may be added after a unit generic pairing is chosen.
Why principal-dual evaluation does not repair the pairing
The principal line has a normalized evaluation
Entries 156--158 and the present equation distinguish its type. On the conductor the nonzero operation is the shifted extraordinary Cartier class, not an ordinary degree-zero restriction of a global free-module pairing. Using changes variance and cohomological degree; it does not turn the nonprimitive solution into a primitive global .
Thus the local principal-dual/Gysin package remains proved and necessary, but it cannot be extended coefficientwise to the generic free term. The missing datum remains the pre-quotient mixed-variance correspondence and its Beck--Chevalley cell.
Relation to the entry-160 obstruction
Entry 160 gives the universal primal obstruction
The present checker is a necessary one-coefficient shadow of that formula. It proves that the generic boundary pairing cannot be obtained by matching the two visible cellular incidences. It does not instantiate the physical Hom group of entry 160, construct the global source, or compute the full obstruction class.
Anti-circularity and prohibited repairs
The following do not count as constructions:
- setting from the two incidence coefficients;
- inverting , which erases the conductor support under test;
- moving the target generator into the principal source ideal;
- deleting , either Tor grade, or a lower Cech summand;
- applying principal-dual evaluation as an ordinary scalar pairing; or
- prescribing the entry-131 purity value or an obstruction nullhomotopy.
The generic map, special extraordinary map, and their localization homotopy must arise from one independently constructed pre-quotient correspondence.

The checker proves the unit-solution no-go by specialization and monomial divisibility, verifies the smallest monomial solution and orientation reversal, and keeps principal-dual evaluation outside the ordinary pairing type.

Ledger provenance:
- entry 143: fixed endpoint/ BM--Cech target and radial incidence;
- entries 156--157: zero-section and principal-line relabelling no-gos;
- entries 158--159: global source/mapping-fiber gate and the global- versus local-Cartier dichotomy; and
- entry 160: universal primal localization obstruction and the required one-road Beck--Chevalley cell.
Falsifiers and scope boundary
This result would be overturned at its stated scope by an explicit legal unit solution of the frozen two-generator chain equation without inverting , changing target generators, or deleting lower terms. The exact checker rules out such a solution.
The theorem does not falsify:
- a full ideal-valued relative graph DNC/nearby-cycle correspondence;
- a shifted extraordinary Cartier/Gysin trace;
- a primitive class produced after all lower terms and endpoint cells are assembled in one mixed-variance category; or
- a geometric nullhomotopy of entry 160's obstruction.
Next experiment
Construct the full ideal-valued, pre-quotient localization correspondence. Retain , the principal occurrence line, both Tor grades, all target Cech lower terms, and the fixed generators. Derive the generic and special boundary maps from that correspondence, then test the entry-160 localization square and obstruction before applying endpoint or generic quotients.
