1000 — Sector Lenses Reconstruct a Coherent Observable Reality
Status
Deutsch–Popperian conjecture. This entry proposes an architecture to be falsified; it does not promote that architecture to the Marici core.
Problem
The current sector program is often pictured as a universal object followed by specializations:
That picture suggests that scattering, cosmology, strings, and other sectors are merely different parameter values or restrictions of one complete observable. The accumulated comparisons do not support that strong claim. Across sectors, the same carrier incidence and support calculus recur, while coefficient objects, filtrations, variance, and physical cycles differ. Direct identifications repeatedly fail even when ranks, divisors, or characters agree.
Frozen distinction
Keep separate:
- the common resolved carrier ;
- its support-sensitive comparison calculus ;
- sector lenses ;
- sector outputs ;
- a compatibility or reconstruction object assembled from several outputs;
- any interpretation in terms of conscious observation.
No claim about consciousness may be used to derive the mathematical construction.
Conjecture M2.25 — Coherent Partial-Lens Reconstruction
There exists a family of partial, information-losing sector lenses
such that no presently known sector output is the complete observable reality and no direct equality of sector coefficient objects is required.
The jointly accessible observable object is reconstructed from their typed compatibilities:
or, where support and variance require it, by the corresponding derived totalization of a sector-comparison diagram.
The expression is provisional notation for a universal compatibility construction. It must not be treated as established until the variance of every comparison arrow is fixed.
Current candidate lenses
The present program suggests, without exhausting the possible family:
These are not assumed to be disjoint, jointly exhaustive, or canonically ordered.
Hard-to-vary content
The conjecture makes three linked claims.
Partiality
Each lens forgets information that another lens can detect:
Coherence
Sector outputs possess source-derived comparison maps on their shared supports. Compatibility is imposed through those maps, not through fitted identifications of similarly shaped objects.
Reconstruction gain
For at least one predeclared observable , the compatible multi-lens diagram determines , while every participating lens alone leaves a genuine ambiguity:
Here denotes reconstruction ambiguity, not necessarily a probabilistic entropy.
Relation to the current H1–H3 architecture
This conjecture refines rather than replaces the existing hypotheses.
- It rejects the default expectation behind strong H1 that one universal coefficient object must appear identically in every sector.
- It is naturally compatible with H2:
- It strengthens H3 only if typed cross-sector coherence maps actually reconstruct additional observables. Without those maps, the sectors remain merely parallel descriptions.
Observer interpretation
If exists and is stable under the admissible physical-chain comparisons, it may model the single observable reality available to an observer: not a view supplied by one sector, but a jointly coherent record assembled from complementary partial lenses.
The additional phrase “as seen by conscious observers” is interpretive and presently unsupported. A future observer theory would have to specify a further functor
and independently derive its admissible records, memory consistency, and coarse-graining. Consciousness is not inserted as a primitive of the carrier.
First finite falsifier
Choose two nearby sectors for which the carrier and coefficient objects already exist—initially strings and scattering, or cosmology and scattering—and freeze:
- one shared resolved support diagram;
- one object from each sector with incompatible-looking but typed coefficient data;
- all admissible comparison arrows and their variance;
- one observable not used to fit those arrows.
Then compute the derived compatibility object .
The conjecture fails at this test if any of the following occurs:
- no source-derived comparison diagram can be typed;
- the compatibility object is equivalent to one sector output, so the second lens contributes no information;
- the diagram is inconsistent on a generic existing carrier stratum;
- reconstruction of requires adding a fitted support cell, coefficient summand, or comparison map;
- a single sector lens already determines every tested joint observable and functorially factors the other lens.
The conjecture receives support only if
Prohibited repairs
Do not preserve the conjecture by:
- defining as an untyped intersection of outputs;
- identifying coefficient objects from matching rank, divisor, character, or period value;
- adding a universal observer that merely stores all sector data without a derived compatibility law;
- declaring every failed comparison to be “complementarity”;
- treating an unavailable physical-chain map as zero;
- using consciousness to select a branch, regulator hierarchy, or normalization absent from the source.
Narrow implication
The conjecture changes the sector program's primary question from
to
Until the first finite reconstruction succeeds, the surviving claim remains only that shared carriers and comparison patterns make such a multi-lens architecture worth testing.
