Monster Symmetry Is a Gated Graded-Parent Research Direction
Terminological correction
The Monster is finite. It therefore has no positive Lie- or manifold-dimension. Distinct numerical notions must not be conflated:
- the order of the Monster group;
- its smallest nontrivial irreducible representation, of dimension ;
- the -dimensional Griess algebra;
- the infinite-dimensional graded moonshine module .
Consequently the statement
is currently ill-posed.
Gated future direction
If Monster symmetry occurs in Marici, the architecture developed in Entries 985 and 990 makes its most natural location a graded parent coefficient or state object, not the finite incidence carrier:
A possible future pattern would be
where is a canonically constructed graded completion and the sector lens--readout packages are realizations, subquotients, or graded traces of . The Monster would then have to emerge as an automorphism group of , rather than being imposed from a desired dimension.
Activation gates
This direction remains dormant unless an independently constructed Marici completion exhibits at least one unmistakable moonshine structure, followed by replication. Admissible signatures include:
- a canonical graded character with the coefficients , with grading fixed before comparison;
- a distinguished modular function related by a derived normalization to ;
- a source-derived chiral or vertex-algebraic structure;
- McKay--Thompson-type graded traces satisfying the required modular laws;
- generators and products forcing Monster-compatible representation theory.
One numerical coincidence is insufficient. Several small Marici ranks embedded into a large representation are also insufficient.
Prohibitions
Until an activation gate is met, do not:
- interpret ordinary carrier ranks as fragments of or ;
- search large decompositions until a fit is found;
- use Monster terminology to explain an untyped class or missing map;
- promote modular-looking numerical data without a canonical grading and transformation law;
- alter H2W, H2S, or H2LR to accommodate a sporadic group.
Falsifiable research question
The properly typed future question is
A negative answer leaves the established carrier and sector-specific coefficient program unchanged. A positive answer would locate Monster symmetry at the parent-state level while explaining why finite sector carriers remain small.
