The Five-Site Unit Sieve Has Empty Frozen Physical Activation

Joint physical gate

For a nontrivial branch quotient

qB:(C2)5⟶(C2)5/(C2)B,q_B:(C_2)^5\longrightarrow(C_2)^5/(C_2)^B,

a power index can enter the frozen paired physical readout only if

  1. the power correspondence is algebraically Mackey-compatible with (q_B);
  2. the frozen selector (delta_0) descends through (q_B).

Ledger 1282 makes the first condition equivalent to (n) odd. The second fails for every nonempty (B): the identity fiber contains (0), where (delta_0=1), and a nonzero kernel point, where (delta_0=0). Thus (delta_0) is not fiber-constant.

Therefore

no power index activates a nontrivial frozen branch quotient.\boxed{\text{no power index activates a nontrivial frozen branch quotient.}}

Exact census

Across all 31 nontrivial branch kernels and indices 1 through 24:

The identity quotient is the control: its selector descends and all 24 indices pass the quotient gate.

Scope

This does not invalidate the unit sieve, norm, Loewy, or conjugation-exponent theorems. It proves that algebraic power compatibility does not construct the missing physical relative-chain pushforward and does not repair frozen cosmological selection variance. An orbit trace can descend, but changes the observable.
