2263 - The Positive Flavor Commutator Score Is an Instrumented Discriminator, Not a Selector (WP58)

The full-quotient invariant

C=Tr⁡([Hu,Hd]†[Hu,Hd])=2∑i<j(ui−uj)2∣(Hd)ij∣2C=\operatorname{Tr}([H_u,H_d]^\dagger[H_u,H_d]) =2\sum_{i<j}(u_i-u_j)^2|(H_d)_{ij}|^2

is positive and reconstructible from mass/CKM data. It distinguishes mixing from the commuting locus, but no source law extremizes it. Imposing (C=0) would be an added selector and is experimentally false. Thus instrumented readout does not imply selection.

Artifacts: research/flavor/flavor-commutator-score-selector-gate.md, checker wp58_commutator_score_selector_gate.py, result wp58_commutator_score_selector_gate.json. Verification: 5/5 exact gates. Epistemic admission: ev-000000003134-5d99d624-38aa-4d14-8cd2-ebaa944eaa4c.
