2281 — The Spectral Residual Is Positive and the Gram Wall Is the Only Physical Rank Loss
Residual quadratic form
Entry 2276 reduces every generic-orientation rank loss of the frozen spectral
Gaussian source to the Gram factor c and a residual quadratic form
B=Aa2+2Mab+Cb2+2c2(w1w2+w1w3+w2w3),
where
A=3w2w3,M=3w1(w2−w3),
C=2w1(w2+w3)−w2w3.
The spectral weights are
wi=di1,di=2+ti,ti=∣pi+q∣.
Exact positivity reduction
Since A>0, positivity of the (a,b) block is controlled by its
determinant. Clearing the positive denominator gives
3d12d22d32(AC−M2)=4d2d3−(d1−d2−d3)2.
This is positive exactly when
(d2−d3)2<d1<(d2+d3)2.
Lower inequality
The reverse triangle inequality for distances from −q to the second and
third equilateral vertices gives
∣t2−t3∣≤∣p2−p3∣=23.
Because d2,d3≥2,
(d2−d3)2=(d2+d3)2(d2−d3)2≤812=23<2≤d1.
Upper inequality
The ordinary triangle inequality gives
t1≤t2+∣p1−p2∣=t2+23,
so
d1≤d2+23.
Meanwhile
(d2+d3)2=d2+d3+2d2d3≥d2+6.
Since 6>23, the upper inequality is strict.
Therefore AC−M2>0, the (a,b) block is positive definite, and the
additional c2 term is nonnegative. Hence
B>0
throughout the positive-energy source chamber.
Complete finite-q classification
For the frozen spectral Gaussian source,
rankT(q)<3⟺q⋅(p1×p2)=0.
Thus the only physical finite-q rank loss is the existing Gram/projection
wall. There is no residual transport divisor and no new Carrier datum.
