2450 — DPC Retired as Conjecture, Retained as Typed Audit
Verdict
The Deutsch--Popperian Conjecture is retired as a conjecture. Its final protection--engineering formulation fails seven exact finite falsifiers. Hybrid non-Clifford protocols require both a protected substrate and an engineered resource; neither alone suffices. The apparatus cut between a calibrated gate and a resource-state injection is noncanonical.
A logical fault supplies the sharpest warning: it has the same empty stabilizer syndrome as identity, but maps to the orthogonal state , giving unitary-channel diamond distance 2. Protection, syndrome visibility, executable control, robustness, fault tolerance, and scalability are therefore separate predicates.
The useful survivor is a typed question matrix. Algebraic reachability, resource obstruction, microscopic realization, robustness, fault tolerance, scalability, and explanatory scope each require their own certificate.
D(S3) consequence
The exact endpoint algebra, stabilizer obstruction, conditional nonlinear logical realization, and failed frozen-code lift remain unchanged. Physical execution now splits into two independent problems: classify operations protected by the phase, and construct a certified engineered non-Clifford extension. A successful architecture may be hybrid.
Scope
This supersedes Ledger 2431's statement that DPC survives as a bounded source-relative framework. It does not assert a microscopic constructor, a recovered-channel bound, or a scalable implementation.
