2531 — Opposite Quadrature Sheets Still Need an Independent Amplitude Parallelization

Let E+=I+QE_+=I+Q, E−=I−QE_-=I-Q, with an orthogonal sheet involution satisfying RTQR=−QR^TQR=-Q. The positive identity

E++E−=2IE_++E_-=2I

implicitly evaluates both forms on the same amplitude vector.

Covariant sheet transport instead sends x−=Rx+x_-=Rx_+. Pulling the minus form back to the plus fiber gives

RTE−R=RT(I−Q)R=I+Q=E+.R^TE_-R=R^T(I-Q)R=I+Q=E_+.

Hence

E+(x)+E−(Rx)=2E+(x),E_+(x)+E_-(Rx)=2E_+(x),

which remains rank one and retains the original null quadrature.

To add energies on distinct sheet fibers requires a separately typed parallelization P:V+→V−P:V_+\to V_-. The total form is

HP=(I+Q)+PT(I−Q)P.H_P=(I+Q)+P^T(I-Q)P.

At θ=0\theta=0, P=IP=I gives rank two, while the natural torsor transport P=RP=R gives rank one. Both are orthogonal. Therefore opposite spin-two characters, orthogonality, equivariance, and sheetwise nonnegativity do not by themselves imply strict positivity.

Scope

The Fourier--Tate source must derive the amplitude comparison independently from the desired positive result. This theorem does not identify that map or establish its stability under completion.
