2575 — Scalar Dynamics Observes Finite Simple Modes but Clustering Destroys Uniformity

For diagonal finite dynamics (A=\operatorname{diag}(\lambda_1,\ldots, \lambda_N)) and scalar output J=(j1,…,jN)J=(j_1,\ldots,j_N), the derivative observability matrix factors as a Vandermonde matrix times diag⁡(jj)\operatorname{diag}(j_j). Hence

det⁡ON=(∏jjj)∏a<b(λb−λa).\det\mathcal O_N =\left(\prod_jj_j\right)\prod_{a<b}(\lambda_b-\lambda_a).

One scalar output observes every finite state when the spectrum is simple and all modal overlaps are nonzero. For a repeated eigenvalue, PBH requires enough independent rows to separate its eigenspace; the minimum simultaneous output rank is the maximum geometric multiplicity.

Finite observability remains nonuniform under spectral clustering. For modes 0,δ,2δ0,\delta,2\delta, the determinant is

2δ3j1j2j3,2\delta^3j_1j_2j_3,

which is nonzero at every positive δ\delta but tends to zero as the spacing collapses. Thus dynamics exchanges simultaneous port dimension for temporal or jet depth and spectral conditioning; it does not automatically repair theta completion stability.

Scope

This is an exact finite observability theorem and clustered-spectrum obstruction. The actual theta coefficient generator and a physical time/jet instrument remain undefined.
