Finite Reciprocal Transition Is a Unit; Global Trivialization Is the Obstruction

For a finite prime set XX, the completed Euler truncation

CX(s)=12s(s−1)π−s/2Γ(s/2)∏p∈X(1−p−s)−1C_X(s) = \frac12s(s-1)\pi^{-s/2}\Gamma(s/2) \prod_{p\in X}(1-p^{-s})^{-1}

has the exact reciprocal transition

uX(z)=CX(1/2+z)CX(1/2−z).u_X(z) = \frac{C_X(1/2+z)}{C_X(1/2-z)}.

It is holomorphic and nonzero throughout the open critical strip and unitary on z=itz=it. Its logarithm is exactly the archimedean anomaly plus the odd primitive, square, and connected determinant currents.

Thus finite completion and determinant reconstruction agree through an explicit divisor-preserving unit. The obstruction occurs only in the global limit: the cutoff units do not converge as ordinary scalar Euler products in the critical strip. Theta modular sewing must lift the complete graded packet to a canonical transition of the completed determinant line.
