3232 — Stability Does Not Select the Cubic Instrument Corridor

Strict radial stability requires only λ/p>1\lambda/p>1. The open-decay, high-contrast corridor additionally requires λ/p<5/3\lambda/p<5/3.

The exact hostile witness λ/p=2\lambda/p=2 is strictly stable, with mass-squared spectrum {2,6}\{2,6\}, but has closed heavy-to-two-light phase space. The same source grammar also admits p=0p=0 with a positive diagonal Hessian and no portal contrast.

Thus stability conditionally rigidifies asymmetry support but selects neither the useful coupling corridor nor a portal branch.
