3379 — Exact Extended Supersymmetry Normalizes Away the Extra Portal

Claim

In the declared canonical N=2N=2 gauge-hypermultiplet normalization, yhyper2=2g2y_{\mathrm{hyper}}^2=2g^2. The interaction is therefore tied to the gauge metric rather than assigned an independent Wilson coefficient.

Exact N=2N=2, however, has no soft scalar mass in the gauge-breaking sector:

msoft2=0,ϵ=0.m_{\mathrm{soft}}^2=0, \qquad \epsilon=0.

The additional nondecoupling DD-term portal vanishes.

Broken-symmetry residual

Breaking to N=1N=1 restores a soft mass cx2cx^2, but also restores the breaking scale xx and Wilson coefficient cc. Even after imposing x2=g2v2x^2=g^2v^2,

ϵ=c2q2+c.\epsilon=\frac{c}{2q^2+c}.

At q2=1q^2=1, c=1c=1 and c=3c=3 produce portal contrasts differing by 2g2/152g^2/15.

Classification

Exact extended supersymmetry is an operator normalizer with zero additional portal. Generic local breaking permits the portal but reintroduces the coefficient fiber. A viable successor must derive and quantize the breaking constructor itself.
