3759 — The Haar Deficit Is a Positive One-Sided Quantization Current

The positive Haar deficit has the exact cell decomposition

Ω(t)=∑n≥1∫n−1n(e−πx2t−e−πn2t) dx.\Omega(t) =\sum_{n\ge1}\int_{n-1}^n \left(e^{-\pi x^2t}-e^{-\pi n^2t}\right)\,dx.

Integrating the Gaussian derivative and exchanging order gives

Ω(t)=2πt∫0∞{x} xe−πx2t dx.\Omega(t)=2\pi t\int_0^\infty \{x\}\,x e^{-\pi x^2t}\,dx.

Thus Ω\Omega is the positive loss produced by transporting each continuum point in a unit cell to its right integer endpoint. The fractional coordinate {x}\{x\} is the comparison register erased by both endpoint-only theta summation and undivided Haar integration.

Local positivity comes from the oriented monotone transport. Reciprocal self-duality is a separate global Poisson coherence law. This separation produces sharp hostile tests: change the endpoint quantizer, shift the lattice, or retain the cell current while altering global sewing.
