The tail equation with its constant forcing channel is a native two-dimensional phase system. Its transported source line has endpoint vector , while the endpoint condition is spanned by . Their determinant is . Hence a theta zero is exactly boundary transversality loss.
After the canonical half-trace gauge, the flow matrix has trace zero and preserves the standard symplectic Green form. The quarter-turn bridge is therefore source-derived. What remains is a theta-specific reciprocal Real/Hermitian restriction that confines line intersections to the critical seam; generic symplectic transport does not.
