4319 — Common Geometric Assembly with Retained Interfaces
One mathematical procedure now reproduces the stored proton-like tetrahedral assembly, neutron-like six-panel belt, and electron-like pentachoron from separate geometric source records. The constructor consumes no particle name or target cell list. Exact comparisons recover distances, facets, subdivisions, center distances and attachment interfaces.
The important qualification is structural: mode selection applies to maximal supporting facets, not arbitrary mesh cells. A hostile subdivision test disproves the unrestricted cellwise version.
One constructor, three sources
Each source supplies a positive-definite rational metric, affine symmetry generators, seed points and typed attachment data. The common procedure is:
- Generate the seed-point orbits under the supplied isometries.
- Compute the convex hull's supporting facets using exact determinant signs.
- Select the active facets and retain the others as interface records.
- Cone the active facets to the mean of the generated vertices.
The initial implementation explicitly reserved the neutron's two rim orbits. A subsequent mode-based implementation recovers the same exclusions without those reservations.
| Geometric source | Seed points | Generators | Generated vertices | Active facets/cones | Retained fixed-centroid interfaces |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Proton-like | 1 | 2 | 4 | 4 | 0 |
| Neutron-like | 2 | 1 | 6 | 6 | 2 |
| Electron-like | 1 | 1 | 5 | 5 | 0 |
The proton's four faces subdivide into the twelve stored centroid-edge triangles. The neutron's six panels subdivide into eighteen. The electron output retains its five tetrahedral boundary cells and the distinguished attachment cell; coning gives a stellar subdivision of the four-dimensional pentachoron, not five disjoint spatial volumes.
The metrics and symmetry actions remain explicit inputs. In particular, the neutron's stored gap is supplied, not predicted. These are compact geometric presentations, not yet minimal arrow-only definitions.
From explicit rim protection to mode support
For a facet centroid , source metric , and source isometries , define
A positive score admits a moving-centroid facet. A zero score retains a fixed-centroid interface. Positive definiteness makes this an exact fixed-subspace test, with no numerical threshold.
For the neutron, write its transverse coordinates as
The source rotation multiplies by a nontrivial cube root of unity. Both cap centroids have ; the six side centroids satisfy . Consequently the same selector keeps all four proton facets, six of eight neutron facets, and all five electron facets.
This distinction survives exact affine coordinate changes with the metric transformed accordingly. The new neutron input, research/voevodsky/inputs/mode-neutron.json, has only ordinary carrier seeds: no explicit rim exclusions.
Reversible complex-mode movement
For a centered centroid state , a source action of order , and , the implemented step is
Exact cyclotomic arithmetic verifies encoding, reconstruction, mode orthogonality, metric-energy preservation and every step of the inverse history. Different generators are re-encoded separately; no common eigenbasis is assumed.
The zero-frequency component is retained. Deleting it prevents reconstruction of both neutron cap centroids. Their corners still move: a fixed centroid is not a motionless or erased cell.
The source-list schedules return the complete labelled centroid states after six generator applications for the proton source, three for the neutron source, and five for the electron source. These are consequences of the supplied actions and schedule, not established particle periods.
The subdivision counterexample
Subdivide each neutron cap into three equal-area triangles, preserving its geometric support. The original cap centroid has score zero; every child centroid has score .
| Order of operations | Admitted neutron triangles |
|---|---|
| Select facets, then subdivide | 18 |
| Subdivide, then select cells | 24 |
The second order fills both caps back in. Thus admission by arbitrary cell centroids is not subdivision-independent.
Regrouping children by their maximal supporting planes, without consulting parent labels, restores the geometric facets and the result of eighteen triangles. This supports the narrower facet-level rule; it does not justify extending it to arbitrary cells or claiming a WG derivation.
What the six-hypothesis audit established
| Candidate explanation | Bounded result |
|---|---|
| Symmetry orbits | Multiple orbits and their interfaces are needed; a single-orbit assumption fails for the belt. |
| Center/link coning | Reproduces the constituents; the neutron center has an annular link, unlike the proton's spherical link. |
| Constraint realization | Bare lengths permit flat or folded alternatives; source symmetry, orientation and interfaces matter. |
| Oriented gluing | Recovers admitted cells exactly, but does not determine the higher-cell inventory. |
| Compatibility refinement | Ordinary subdivision cannot replace higher-dimensional filling witnesses. |
| Dimensional succession | No intrinsic reset after dimension four follows from coning, closure or collapse to a point. |
These tests led to a source-controlled relative construction, not a universal dimensional clock.
Scope
This entry establishes a tested common geometric constructor and reversible centroid-mode dynamics for the specified sources. It does not identify these models with physical particles, derive their metric parameters or minimal primitive-arrow sources, or establish the centroid admission rule from WG.
It does not derive a common coefficient protocol. The original source-driven proton regression still reproduces every typed arrow and coefficient of the historical 1836-arrow manifest, but that count is not inferred from the four cone pieces or the new centroid channels. No neutron coefficient count or pentachoron-wide electron spinor operator is asserted.
Durable verification

All completed successfully; success of the last checker means the counterexample was confirmed, not that the unrestricted hypothesis survived.
