2715 — Evans Residual Is a Forward-versus-Backward Poisson Comparison

For the source autocorrelation

A(r)=∫0∞f(q)f(q+r) dq,A(r)=\int_0^\infty f(q)f(q+r)\,dq,

define

C(λ,t)=∫0∞e−λrcos⁡(tr)A(r) dr.C(\lambda,t)=\int_0^\infty e^{-\lambda r}\cos(tr)A(r)\,dr.

Wiener--Khinchin identifies (C(\lambda,t)) for λ>0\lambda>0 with a Poisson convolution of the nonnegative spectrum ∣f^∣2|\widehat f|^2. Hence the forward evolution is universally nonnegative.

The exact Evans residual is

Rf(a+it)=2(C(a,t)−C(−a,t)).R_f(a+it)=2\left(C(a,t)-C(-a,t)\right).

The unresolved sign therefore compares forward Poisson evolution with its backward analytic continuation. This is exactly the earlier vertical-modulus obstruction. Generic positive boundary spectra do not orient backward Poisson flow; the missing theorem must use modular structure special to the completed theta source.
