2746 — Cayley Crossing Form Orients Full Weyl Rank, Not Cross-Transfer Zeros

The finite theta/Tate two-port carrier canonically supplies the Hermitian Weyl path

W(λ)=A∂−B∗(A−λI)−1B.W(\lambda)=A_\partial-B^*(A-\lambda I)^{-1}B.

On real resolvent intervals, W′≤0W'\le0. Its Cayley path therefore has the positive crossing form

iU∗U′=−2(W−iI)−1W′(W+iI)−1≥0.iU^*U' = -2(W-iI)^{-1}W'(W+iI)^{-1} \ge0.

This is a genuine source-derived positivity theorem. But it detects rank loss of the full Weyl matrix, hence zeros of det⁡W\det W. The theta observable is the off-diagonal source-to-endpoint entry Wf0W_{f0}, which may vanish while det⁡W≠0\det W\ne0.

Therefore primitive, square, archimedean, and pole-current matching for the Cayley trace density would orient the wrong divisor. A source-derived lower-minor or Pluecker relation must precede any such promotion.
