The Local Euler Factor Is a Boundary Transfer Not a Determinant
This sharpens Entry 3226: its determinant-line statement belongs to the derived value--flux readout, not to the internal valuation differential.
On the cutoff valuation space,
is triangular and has determinant one. Yet its endpoint-to-augmentation transfer is
The infinite limit is the local Euler factor. Thus zeta is source-natively a boundary transfer function of an exact system, not the determinant of its valuation differential.
This falsifies the naive zero-to-cohomology bridge at the smallest local cutoff. A global zero should first be understood as loss of input--output transmission. Any larger mapping-cone interpretation must derive its boundary ports independently rather than encoding the scalar readout backward.
